Transition Earth aims to increase awareness on the effects of increasing population growth and unsustainable economic growth on people and the planet.  All people around the world have a fundamental right to preserve or improve their quality of life and that of their families and communities.

We are a project of Earth Island Institute.   Formerly it was the Institute for Population Studies/HowMany.org.

Suzanne is Project Director of Transition Earth.  Her work is focused on the interconnectedness of population growth with women’s empowerment, human rights, consumption, alternative economies, and the environment.
